The Winning Couple

Once upon a time, Colleen Reed Photography offered a free Love Session.  Yes, you are reading that link correctly… March 2009.   Once I had a winning couple, our first date was scheduled for June 7, 2009.     Between the three of us, life just got in the way of scheduling this shoot.  Life changes, professional ambitions, the threat of a torrential downpour.      Angela and I were emailing each other the week prior to the session wondering if it was actually going to happen and were trying not to jinx anything.    Needless to say, after a last minute location change and a beautiful summer evening, we finally had our photos.

Please enjoy some of my favorites with Angela, Michael and Rue….

The above is one of my favorites because Rue is smiling.

Now Rue is just showing off!

Now the photo is one of my new all time favorites.  Not only because I love the colors and the expressions.  But also because behind the scenes, I had Rue’s leash wrapped around my ankle and I was laying on my back in the grass.  Talk about multi-tasking.

This couple is like Clash of the Gorgeous Eyes!  It was the first thing I noticed when I started editing the photos.

Thanks Guys for a fun evening!   As always, you can also check out some more favorites on my Facebook Fan Page.

A Private Wedding

Over Memorial Day weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph Diane and Doug’s wedding at a private residence,  complete with a pond,  in Ashtabula County.   Check out some of my favorite images from the day!

The groom’s daughter had surprised the couple with packets of bird seed on the guests’ chairs.  Needless to say, the bride and groom were not expecting this exit!

The newly joined family posing around the couple’s “new” vintage truck.

What a great day!
