To say that this bride and I go way back would be a major understatement. Kelli and I met in the first grade when she moved into our school district. From then on, our childhood was filled with roller skating parties, pig tails and all that fun stuff that comes later with adolescence. It was such an honor when Kelli contacted me a few days after her engagement to photograph her special day.
Kelli and Julius’ wedding day was one of those perfect early fall days where the sky was a gorgeous blue and the weather was just perfect (albeit, a bit windy).
Thanks again, Kelli and Julius (and family) for having me be a part of such a beautiful day! Special thanks also to friend/Jill of All Trades, Meghan, for helping me on this day.
On September 17, 2010, I had the honor of photographing this lovely and intimate wedding in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. I have known Christina for a few years now and it made me so delighted to see her dream come true! After two years of long distance, Christina and Alam could finally call each other husband and wife.
Miss Q arrived in January to with two fabulous big brothers waiting for her! This family just keeps getting more and more adorable every time I show up for a session.
You know me and tootsies…

We will forever party like it is the summer of 1999 because that is when our love began to grow. The our families had met through our church many years before we were even thought of. The summer of 1999 I was fresh out of the eighth grade getting ready to enter high school and my husband was the ultimate crush was entering his senior year of high school and we worked together with our families on the church festival. Throughout the week of activities I was so infatuated with my husband that my friends were sick of hearing about him so they told him how I felt about him and a few nights later we began the rest of our life when he asked me out on a date.
This year we will have been together 10 years and married 2 of them. We have been blessed with a great relationship that has been tried through many trials and tribulations throughout our decade of love. We know have a wonderful daughter who is a true testament of our love, however we always have to remember to think of each other and to not take our love for granted. A photo shoot would be an amazing way to celebrate a decade of blessings, love, and growth.

The year was 1999. I had a new highschool sweetheart. For entertainment one weekend, we decided to get “professional” photos taken at the local mall – you know the cheesy-match-match-white-tops-and-jeans-look where you are perfectly posed with your head tilted just so towards each other, smiling so your newly braces-free teeth get a good showing! Well, 8 years later I married my high-school sweetheart and almost to the day, 10 years have passed since that first photo shoot. I would love a chance to have real professional photos taken by Colleen Reed Photography to not only capture us as a couple going strong after 10 years, but also for comparison of just how far we (and “professional photography”) have come since 1999! I can promise a before photo if Colleen Reed can provide the after!
PS – If it earns brownie points, I can always supply a cute new puppy as an extra subject.
